July Goals

*I like to make a list of goals for each month. This helps me to stay focused on what I need to accomplish around the house and there's the added thrill of marking things off as done.*

I skipped making a goals list for the month of June. With all the activity going on in the household it just slipped my mind. I still managed to get a lot accomplished. I read 2 1/2  books,  deep cleaned the house before vacation, paid off a bunch of bills, held a homeschool swim event, and more.

July looks like it is going to be just as busy as June was. Our summers are usually like that, although this last year every month has seemed super busy. With the girls growing up most of our activities take place outside of the house now so we are always going, going, going. In fact a lot of my goals for July center around traveling and other things out of the home.

So far I need to...

1.) Contact my Aunt Roxanne about my Grandmother's genealogical research to see if she still has it. If she does I need to head to her house while in Texas to pick it up.

2.) Pick up my hope chest from my moms. It was my grandmothers and was passed down to my mother and now it will come to me to one day give to Hayley. (Kyla has the hope chest I was given as a teenager)

Not *my* chest but it is this exact same one. It's cedar and smells amazing.

4.) Plan one more homeschool swim event for the end of the month.

5.) Verify dates for the trip to Arkansas and verify if Hayley's bestie can come with us.

6.) Figure out what is growing in my mailbox flower bed. The bed was planted when we moved into the house and I've never really focused on it. This is the second year this has shown popped up and I'm not sure if it's plant or weed.

7.) Minimize the amount of eating out we do.

8.) Stick to a grocery budget of $600 for the month

9.) Finish crocheting baby blanket for my friend's new arrival in September.

10.) Blog a minimum of 2 to 3 times a week.

11.) Start pulling together Hayley's curriculum for the first few weeks of her school year.

12.) Find a photo a day challenge and stick to it. I'll be posting these to my Instagram page.

13.) Read 3 to 4 books. I'm a little behind on my 2019 reading challenge and need to catch up so I make my goal by the end of the year.

And I think that's it.  A lot going on this month, a lot of big things that need to be done, some that will take some time but all of it is doable as long as I make myself to do it.

Do you have any goals for July? What's the biggest thing you want to get done?
